Rowing for Rehabilitation for Cancer Survivors

The Annapolis Rowing Club (ARC) offers a sweep rowing program to help individuals achieve their highest potential in physical function, pain relief and quality of life. Program goals include improving strength and endurance after surgery, chemotherapy or other medical intervention.

Whether survivors are occasional exercisers, weekend warriors, competitive athletes or something in between, Annapolis Rowing Club’s coaches, support volunteers and club members are committed to helping you safely achieve your fitness goals.

Strokes4Survivors Rowing Program. Taught by experienced club members, the Learn to Row sessions focus on rowing fundamentals, safety procedures, and establishing our team of survivors. Participants must be age 14 or older and able to swim.

Our Program will begin on Tuesday, September 7 from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at our Gingerville site and will meet weekly..

Helping survivors to help themselves is a major focus of rehabilitation. We encourage participants to work towards their goals by doing as much as they can within the guidelines established by their team of medical caregivers. Participants must download and complete the attached forms.
